Being a NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) athlete means that you are able to profit off of your own brand, image, and likeness as a student athlete. This means you can participate in paid promotions, sponsorships, and endorsements outside of your athletic commitments. It gives athletes the opportunity to capitalize on their personal brand and make money while still competing in college sports.
